Tahu Mercon is stuffed tofu puffs filled with sautéed vegetables and meatballs, coated in batter and deep-fried until crispy with a savory, spicy flavor. - CAP IBU Super Spicy Chili Relish
- CAP IBU White Basic Seasoning Paste
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp CAP IBU White Basic Seasoning
- 3 tbsp CAP IBU Sambal Geprek (Super Spicy Chili Relish)
- 10 tofu puffs (tahu pong)
- 1 carrot (cut into julienne strips)
- 100 g cabbage (shredded)
- 10 meatballs (sliced)
- 100 g mung bean sprouts
- 1 tsp CAP IBU Himalayan Salt
- 5 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 5 tbsp rice flour
- ¼ tsp CAP IBU Turmeric Powder
How to Cook:
- Heat oil in a pan. Sauté 1 tbsp CAP IBU White Basic Seasoning and 3 tbsp CAP IBU Sambal Geprek. Add the carrot and a little water, then cook until the vegetables are half tender.
- Add the sliced meatballs, shredded cabbage, and bean sprouts. Stir-fry until the vegetables are wilted. Add ½ tsp CAP IBU Himalayan Salt and mix well.
- Cut a small opening in each tofu puff and fill with the prepared mixture. Repeat until all tofu puffs are filled.
- In a bowl, combine the batter ingredients: 5 tbsp all-purpose flour, 5 tbsp rice flour, ¼ tsp CAP IBU Turmeric Powder, and ½ tsp CAP IBU Himalayan Salt. Add enough water to form a smooth batter.
- Dip each stuffed tofu into the batter until evenly coated, then deep-fry until fully cooked and golden brown.
- Serve warm.
Note: For a spicier taste, you can increase the amount of CAP IBU Sambal Geprek according to your preference.
